Service Description

Speaking, Listening & Vocabulary Focus · Open to all levels A practical, communication-oriented course designed to help learners use Turkish confidently in real-life situations. The course moves step by step through everyday themes — introductions, daily routines, shopping, food, travel, health, work and expressing opinions — while steadily building speaking and listening skills. Each session pairs essential conversational grammar with a wide and growing stock of everyday vocabulary, drawn from the situations learners actually meet: the words heard in a market, a pharmacy, a taxi, a dinner invitation. Interactive activities include role-play, guided discussion and short listening tasks, alongside cultural comparisons that show how Turkish is really used in social contexts — not the language of textbooks, but the language of the street, the table and the telephone. By the end of the course, participants will have a markedly richer active vocabulary, understand common spoken Turkish, and navigate daily interactions with greater fluency and cultural awareness. Open to learners at every level. Whether you are just finding your first sentences or already comfortable in Turkish, this course meets you where you are: everyone leaves each session with new words and real speaking practice. It also works beautifully alongside the structured grammar courses — what you learn there as a rule, you use here as a conversation. * The course starts during the first week of October and concludes in the second week of December, spanning 10 weeks (20 sessions). The exact days and times will be scheduled based on the availability of both the instructor and the learners. * Once learners enroll, Silk Road Academy will coordinate the class schedule, process payments, and manage administrative details. * Silk Road Academy can issue invoices so learners can request reimbursement from their affiliated universities or institutions. * Class days and times may be adjusted in accordance with the request of enrollees. * Registered participants will receive full access to recorded session videos and all course materials. Gökçe Karaoğlu holds a PhD in media and communications and an MA in management and economics from the University of Zurich (UZH), Switzerland, as well as a double major in business administration and media and visual arts from Koç University, Istanbul.
